Your Wedding at Our Lady of Refuge
If you are looking for a rustic setting for your small wedding, Our Lady of Refuge might fit your needs. The information on this page should help you with your decision. Come join us for Mass any Sunday morning at 10:45 to see the church and grounds firsthand. Also check our calendar below for dates that the church is available.
Please note that we do not have a social hall or other indoor venue for a reception, but there is plenty of room outside and there are other resources in the area.

Required Planning and Marriage Preparation
Archdiocesan policy requires wedding preparation to begin at least (6) six months in advance.
First contact Angela Mansfield or Mary Bordi to reserve the church wedding and rehearsal dates. (See scheduling a date and time)
Second contact a priest at Our Lady of The Pillar, Half Moon Bay, (650) 726-4674, to schedule the required marriage preparation program.
Third meet with the parish priest or the priest officiating at the wedding to complete the required paper work, apply for dispensations (if applicable) and plan the wedding liturgy.

Flowers, Music, Photography
Flowers Flowers are the responsibility of the couple. Couples are encouraged to leave the flowers as a gift to the worshiping community.
Music Live music is appropriate and encouraged at weddings. You may use our musicians or your own. Please contact Joel Mansfield to inquire about our musicians. Song selection must be discussed with the officiating priest.

Photography We ask photographers to be as discrete as possible so they do not distract your guests.
Donations and Fees
- Church Use: Parishioners—$400 | Non-parishioners—$600
- OLR Facilities Coordinator—$100
- Insurance: $1,000,000 Insurance rider on home owners policy (proof from insurance company required)
- Cleaning Fee (Refundable)—$150
We are in the process of developing our fee schedule. All fees must be deposited with the facilities coordinator two weeks prior to the wedding date

Our Lady Of Refuge is a small country church and does not have a hall. However, there are several venues within a short drive that are available. Please contact them directly to reserve.
