Sunday December 13, 2009 Third Sunday in Advent…

Deacon John urges all to attend the Parish Penance Service at Our Lady of the Pillar in Half Moon Bay. It will be held Wednesday, December 16 at 7:00 PM.

(For those who don’t know it, Deacon John has been in the hospital due to a stroke. But he as recovered quickly. He surprised many of us by appearing as usual in church today, performing his duties as Deacon, having missed only one Sunday—last week. We thank God for answering our prayers for his speedy recovery!)

Also, don’t forget our Christmas Potluck and Bingo at Our Lady of Refuge on Saturday, December 19, 2009. Time: 6:30 PM. Bingo afterwards. Please bring a potluck dish to share along with your holiday spirit. The church is decorated with greens and poinsettias and looks very festive. We are also accepting donations of bingo prizes.

If you can spare some time after the potluck to help with clean-up, that would be appreciated.

Christmas Mass Schedule for Our Lady of Refuge:

Friday, December 25 our Christmas Day Mass will be at our normal Mass time of 10:45 AM.

There are also Masses at Our Lady of the Pillar in Half Moon Bay and St. Anthony’s in Pescadero. Check with the parish mailing or OLP for times.
