News for Lent and more

From now until Easter the front page of the OLR website has a calendar of the activities planned for lent.

Stations of the Cross

During Lent, Stations of the Cross will be held at Our Lady of Refuge on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM. We will begin this Thursday, March 5th.

Confession

Father Les will be available on Sundays after Mass for confession. Please speak to him before or after Mass to make arrangements.

Easter Lilies

Talk to Deacon John if you would like to donate Easter Lilies to decorate the church.

Rice Bowls

Don’t forget to pick up your Rice Bowl bank so that you can give to help feed the hungry.

Refreshments

If you were at Mass this past Sunday you are aware that during Lent we are having soup instead of sweets for refreshments after Mass. Although soup is certainly more healthy than cake and cookies it can be a form of penance for this Lenten season to give up the treats. We are also collecting donations to feed some needy folks in our own local area.

St Patrick’s Day Potluck and Bingo

Don’t forget the Potluck and Bingo on Saturday March 14 at 6:00 PM at the church. Tell your friends! Please bring your donation of a prize (or prizes) worth around $20 so we can reward those bingo players.
